The youngest of six children, Anthony dreamed of becoming an artist from childhood. He studied art at Syracuse University in New York and Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. In 1980, Anthony heard the call of the vastness and beauty of The West and moved to Texas. He married and now has three adult children and three grandchildren. He has travelled all over the Southwest taking thousands of photographs, painting and selling hundreds of paintings through these years. Now being retired from his paint contracting business in Texas, he is free to explore and paint the dramatic Mountain West, especially the Bitterroot Valley where his daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren live. Anthony uses mix media so he can combine his love for drawing with painting. He uses mainly pastels and charcoal with acrylics. He explores texture, color, and composition primarily in an expressive manner. He has exhibited in both solo and group exhibits and has won many awards for his work. His paintings appear in numerous private and public collections.
