Through almost 50 years as a sculptor, influenced by Bohemian Baroque sculptural traditions and the environment Peter Mandl lives and works in , with it"s omnipresent wind, sea and sweeping waves, his sculptures are often inspired by the female body and the dynamic movements from the sea and wind. His bronze works are based on traditional subjects of antiquity and heroines of literature, but the anguilarity suggests a melding with the contemporary. His glass works, of molded and cut glass utilize techniques developed in Bohemia in the 1940s. "This glassmaking method is the closest to my creative sensibility".
