Peeples, Nina (Mrs. Emile Samuel Guidroz). (1899-1979). B: Emory. D: Fort Worth.Watercolorist, painter, printmaker, graphic artist. Peeples taught art in the Fort Worth, the Dallas public schools, and at the Children's Workshop, Dallas. She began teaching at the Dallas Art institute in 1932. Her creative teaching methods won her international recognition. She was married to artist Emile Guidroz. Her free flowing and intriguing watercolors were described as mystic. She is credited for suggesting the name Cotton Bowl for the famous stadium in Dallas. Studied: College of Industrial Arts, Denton (graduate, 1922); Dallas Art Institute.
