Magnificent beauty and draftsmanship characterize Roman Frances’s work. His wonderful pieces rotate around the feminine figure that is often relaxing in a world of floral delights. Frances has the magical ability to intertwine and unite women and nature as if they were one. His extraordinary drawing abilities and sense of brilliant and beautiful color have allowed him to gain international prestige and success. Born in 1950 in the town of Alcoy, Alicante, Frances began painting under the influence of Gaspar Frances who became not only his teacher but a trusted friend as well. In 1965 at the tender age of fifteen, Frances exhibited his first works at the Otono Salon in Alcoy. With a successful show under his belt, Frances moved to Madrid, Spain where he hoped to expand his horizons and develop himself as a painter. Today, Frances resides in his hometown of Alcoy where he continues to paint. Roman Frances’s work is like poetry on canvas. His lovely women and girls radiate right off the canvas and into one’s heart. Frances has a passion for conveying genuine beauty and grace. With a profound mastery of line and total control of his art, Frances unselfishly allows the viewer to experience his extraordinary vision. Shaw Gallery is extremely honored to exclusively represent Roman Frances in the Naples area. Overwhelming beauty, grace, and remarkable quality is what both Shaw Gallery and Roman Frances are all about.
