Born on April 16, 1947, Raymond Gizzi was raised by his Parisian mother and Roman father in the area of Provence where he learned to appreciate the light and color of this region before discovering his talent to paint. After different professional experiences full of enrichments as well as endless hours of self-discipline, Gizzi discovered his real goal and above all a real way to express his sensibility. In 1985, he participated in his first exhibition at the Relais Cuturel des Saintes Maries de la Mer. Encouraged by the success of the show, he decided to devote himself entirely to the art of painting. Since then, Raymond has participated in exhibitions throughout the region of Provence including Les Baux de Provence, Aigures Mortes, Aix en Provence, Bandol, Saint Paul de Vence, and Montpellier. His light capturing oils can be found in many private collections in Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels, Genve, London, Sidney, Tokyo, Washington, New York and Los Angeles.
