Claudia Griesbach-Martucci was born in Monmouth County New Jersey, 1990. Claudia attended the School of Visual Arts undergrad in 2008 and went on to obtain her Master's Degree in 2012 under the program "Illustration as a Visual Essay." Claudia has worked as an oil painting assistant for Jeff Koons for 4 years, and now currently works out of her studio in South Street Seaport Manhattan.The subjects and landscapes Claudia chooses to paint are a direct influence from the things she enjoyed in her childhood. Growing up with both parents as working illustrators, Claudia was encouraged to rely on her imagination, nature, and the companionship of their many pets, which included rats, frogs, along with the typical cat and dog. She believes that using animals is the best way to explain our emotions in the purest form.
