Edouard Michelet is from Haiti and belongs to the young generation of emerging Haitian artists. He started drawing at the age of 7. In 1991 he painted under the direction of Jonas Profil and Jean-Claude Cadet. His paintings depict everyday life in Haiti in a very realistic way; he mostly paints market scenes and daily chores of the Haitian merchant. His works are part of many art collections around the world.
