Many will be “less than perfect” and may not be for those looking for a “clean, perfect bead”. However, each old bead and those made today (using traditional bead making techniques) provide me the inspiration for another unique hand-crafted design. Some vintage beads have survived hundreds of years of wear and have traveled various continents. I enjoy findings ways to integrate these beads into my designs. For those old worn beads, there is always a lingering mystery of where they have been. Each bead (especially those that look old and worn) seems to have transformative powers that radiate history, substance, style and love. . .
