Max Rosenzweig’s images of graphic western settings are photographed digitally and then composed to create stories that evoke questions about the process of digital media and also how they may fit into the context of contemporary western art/the history of art in the west. These pictures are created with the mindset of a child playing with the toys our adolescence. Each photograph looks through a different focal point in western history and uses appropriated objects and imagery to create alternative histories about the land and it's people.Max graduated from the University of Utah where he received his bachelor of fine arts degree in photography and digital imaging (2015). He works with an eclectic mixture of photographic tools and mediums. The use of 120 film, polaroids, cyanotypes and digital imagery are all in constant flux and manipulation.
