Victoria Sartorius spends her time between New York City and Quogue LI.
Born and raised on the streets of Manhattan - Victoria started taking photographs when she was a child and has had a camera in her hand ever since. Museums and galleries were her teachers – the streets were her subjects. Victoria is classically trained, not as an artist or photographer, but an international tax accountant with degrees from Georgetown and Columbia Universities. Photography has always been her escape, and as Victoria has said, “It’s not as though anyone grows up wanting to be an accountant…” Now retired and children raised Victoria can finally focus on her true interests and passions. Victoria is now able to call herself a photographer. She spends her days capturing and retelling stories - she makes us see what we may have missed or never realized was there. Recent shows:
