Victoria Thornton is an award-winning abstract artist known for her distinctivework in resin and mixed media. Her contemporary two- and three-dimensionalpieces are rich in color, texture, and emotion—each one a unique expression ofdepth and energy.Originally from New York, Victoria’s early experiences in fashion and globalcultures shaped her eye for design. After exploring various painting mediums, shewas drawn to the spontaneity of fluid art and eventually found her true creativevoice in resin. She has her own unique application techniques to create layers anddepth combining pigments, mica powders, metallic leafing, and natural materialslike stones and glass to create luminous, layered pieces with movement and soul."It's like painting with honey," Victoria says. "Each piece shifts as it’s beingcreated—I never quite know where it will take me, and that’s what I love."Victoria lives and works in Southern Arizona. Her work is represented by KNewbyGallery in Tubac and the Miraval Resort in Tucson, and can be found in privatecollections nationwide.
