Therese Knowles is a native of New Orleans Louisiana and has resided in Baton Rouge with her husband David Dunaway for many years now. Growing up around the Mid-City cemeteries, she found inspiration in the beauty of cemetery art. Her Grandfather was a stone cutter and created many of the angels that surround the tombs. This influence is still found in her art today. She graduated from LSU with a BFA concentrating in studio art for which she received a scholarship. Therese is an accomplished potter as well as a painter.
