Jenya Chernoff is a photographer living in Oakland, CA. She studied film at UC Berkeley and San Francisco State University and has since lived many lives as a musician, graphic designer, food truck owner, and dog trainer. Her fine art photography uses still life to explore and respond to the natural world, often in the form of ritualistic assemblages of found materials from a local environment. Her latest series uses diorama scenes constructed using clay, dirt, rocks, coffee grounds, water and dry ice fog to create photographs of imaginary landscapes that strive to objectify an emotional state through natural forms.
