Ryan Thayer Davis is a University of Texas alumni still living and working in Austin, and a pure painter. He approaches his work by creating compositional and color based riddles he poses to himself, and in his pursuit of solving his riddles, he tests the limits of his medium. His textures and mark-making are deep, intentional, tributes to joy itself.
