StatementI pay close attention to my various environments and within these I find endless ideas. I then use the language of form to translate complex ideas into visual representations — abstract but familiar — with ample room for interpretation.I work in wood — a natural and irregular material — full of character and imperfections, which I often leave as a reminder of the material’s organic origin, and a nod to our own organic and imperfect state.I divide my time between corporate and private commissions and creating work for galleries. I enjoy collaborating with art consultants, designers, architects and owners.In a world of digital everything, I want my work to say “made by hand” — refined but not rarified.
