Jill Keller Peters is a colorist whose abstract color field paintings communicate through hue, rhythm, and order. Working in oil on canvas, she choreographs relationships between vivid and nuanced tones, creating geometric compositions that feel both structured and lyrical. Her paintings are rooted in a deep sensitivity to light and to the emotional and spatial possibilities of color.Though abstract, Keller Peters’s work is informed by years of realist landscape painting and photography, as well as careful observation of the natural world. Light functions in her practice as both a practical and symbolic source, shaping paintings that feel radiant, expansive, and quietly celebratory. Through their balance of rigor and sensuality, her works offer a contemplative experience of energy, harmony, and visual delight.
