Danielle Winger was born in Reno, NV and spent her early life moving throughout the United States. She received her Bachelor of Science in Textiles, Merchandising and Apparel Design from Middle Tennessee State University and an MFA in Painting from East Tennessee State University. Danielle lives in rural Indiana in a log cabin on 11 acres of woods with her husband and three children. They are avid hikers and backpackers, finding respite in the close proximity to nature. Winger's paintings regularly reference these places in sentimental and nostalgic ways, seeing the simplicity of nature as an antidote to an increasingly chaotic world. Winger belongs to a number of national and international collections, including private collections throughout the US, England, Australia, New Finland, Germany, Canada, Scotland, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Austria. Select exhibitions include KONIG Gallery in Munich, Red Arrow in Nashville, Galerie Bessaud in Paris, Chicago Expo, Spring Break, Art Tokyo, Art Taipei, LAMB Gallery in London, Galerie COA in Montreal, and Seizan Gallery in Tokyo. Select publications include New American Paintings, Art Maze Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine and the cover of Colorado Homes.
