[dNASAb] has employed the materials of the “NOW” to animate, illustrate and highlight the most pressing issues of the tumultuous contemporary age we live in for over two decades. [dNASAb] has made bodies of work that attempt to visualize wireless data in the midst of the proliferation of cell towers worldwide in the series “Obscure Sexual habits of wireless data”, he has sculpted and imagined the future of a device laden world as Ipods and cellphones began to explode in popularity. via “IPodEcosytems” series, and the artist developed work for the underutilized spaces on the surface of the screen, and the void between the video image and the ideas in the mind of the viewer, in the “LCDBlossoms” series. [dNASAb] has even attempted to create work to harvest the beauty in death and loss in the series “Aesthetics of Decay; Design for Dying Electronics”. [dNASAb] has recently turned his attention to the “living marine ecosystem” and its inextricable connection with a plasticized Ocean. In the series “Sculpting Life_A re-contextualization of the living marine reef ecosystem” he creates living coral sculptures of reclaimed plastics, fiber optics, video and a balanced marine ecosystem of fish, invertebrates, macroalgaes, and mangroves. [dNASAb] is passionate and optimistic that a post human future will still be filled with nature. The artist envisions a reality in which life grows among, despite of, and in unison with the ever expanding plastic ecosystem which we will inevitably leave behind.
