Maria-Elena Emilova Dermendzhieva is a Bulgarian based artist who graduated in „Textile art and design“ and “Art Therapy” at the Bulgarian National Academy of Arts. In 2018 she became the youngest member of the “Union of Bulgarian Artists” in section “Textile Art”. Artist’s work explores the issues related to the human psyche and its responses under the influence of modern expectations; the archetypes in the human consciousness and the manipulations to which it is subjected. Maria-Elena developed her mostly recognized style by embroidering her graphic drawings.
