Stefan Ivanov is a young sculptor and a visual artist from Sofia, Bulgaria. He holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts and currently he is a full-time teaching assistant at the Sculpture Department in the National Academy of Art in Sofia. As of today he has completed three solo shows and has participated in numerous art exhibitions and workshops in Bulgaria, Poland, Greece, Sweden, Turkey, Slovakia, Serbia and Slovenia. He is interested in exploring the border territories of arts, as well experimenting with the crossing points and confrontation of the sculptural objects, the design, the colours and the surrounding space. In his works he blends elements from hyperrealism, pop art, surrealism.
