Harumi Fujimoto is a Japanese painter and photographer living in Hawaiʻi. Her passion for art can be traced back to the time when she was just 3 years old. She drew and painted many sketches and paintings under her motherʻs guidance. Her siblings are equally enthusiastic about it. She spent her early life surrrounded by rich verdant fields. Hence, itʻs no surprise why nature is such a dominant theme in many of the artworks she produces. Her love for nature ultimately lead her to explore bird watching. Harumi soon became invested in the activity. Following her parentʻs footsteps, Fujimoto began her career as a pharmacist, joining a large pharmaceutical company and risen to executive level travelling around the world for 20 years. In all this time, she drew healing from seeing artwork depicting nature and animals. After moving to Hawaiʻi she married her fiance and now her husband. She continued her art study at the University of Hawaiʻi with emphasis on watercolors, oil paintings and computer design.Sensitive, unique and spiritual, her art spirit was shaped by her relationships with people and the environment. With her stunning palette of watercolor and oil paint, she incorporates computer art templates on canvas, with which she hopes to create healing art for the tired souls - a perfect infusion of the modern and the organic. With a sharp eye for detail, emotion and tone, OharuArt instills an appreciation of nature and draws out the sweetness of relationships in its creation, and magnifies the glory of nature. Her art is bright, feminine, delicate and an absolute sight for sore eyes. In her free time, Fujimoto paints to relax and unwind. She loves spending time with her family, exploring Hawaiʻiʻs treasures of nature and has two hand-raised parakeets. She is a true artist of the mind and the soul.
