"I was born in Burma, now called Myanmar, and our family moved to the States in 1978 to State College, Pennsylvania. I grew up on the east coast basically. I have a Bachelor of Science, with Medical Technology, I do have a full time job, I wear a dual hat as a clinical applications specialist and a service engineer for a global medical device company. I am the one in the company so far to play such a role, as Hawaiʻi is so remote. We moved to Hawaiʻi in 2005. I have been drawing since I was a child. Probably from reading comic books (I used to exchange drawings with a pen pal I used to have in Italy). I then started drawing more challenging subjects like animals from the National Geographic magazines. I dabbled in other art forms from ceramics to metal works in college to woodcut printmaking. Before palette knife painting, I did Chinese brush painting for almost five years. I have been painting oils as well."
