Before becoming a jeweler and now a sculptor, Marc Zoschke was an art gallery owner and a professional photographer with a background in graphic arts and product design. He sees design concepts in buildings, serene landscapes, automobiles, etc. They all provide inspiration that Marc adds to the sculpture. For 22 years Marc owned and directed Art Concepts, an art gallery in Springfield, Illinois. In February of 2009, Wendy and Marc decided that the time was right for them to create together full time. Marc has a bachelor's degree in product design from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Wendy Zoschke’s view on life has always been a bit off-kilter and that comes through in her jewelry and sculpture. She likes simple lines but adds a funk that brings with it a unique style for each and every piece. Wendy believes that art should be lived, felt, and experienced and if one of her pieces can do that for someone then she feels satisfied and blessed. Wendy has a commercial art background along with 12 years of stained glass experience. PROCESSEvery work of art starts as just raw materials and is fabricated by Marc from the initial design to the glass creation, all of the woodwork including the frame, the painting, and the metal fabrication. Wendy polishes the metal and fabricates armatures for the stand-alone sculpture.
