Born: Ukraine Alla Bartoshchuk is a storyteller at heart and uses symbolic imagery to tell those stories. The symbols in her paintings are usually implied and are not always used in a literal sense. Rather they are private, imaginative images that arise from the depth of the psyche and embrace the surreal quality of dreams, fantasies and premonitions. Born in Rivne Ukraine, Alla Bartoshchuk obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Memphis College of Art, TN ( 2010). She later completed her Master of Fine Art degree also in painting, graduating from Laguna College of Art and Design, CA in 2013.Alla is a recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, such as Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant, which she received twice in 2012 and 2013.Currently Alla lives and works in Huntington Beach, CA, focusing her time on painting and teaching.
