Joseph Coniff (b. 1981, USA) lives and works in Denver, CO. He holds an MFA in Visual Arts from the University of Delaware, Newark, and a BFA from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. Coniff’s practice explores the cultural and historical developments of materials and objects through sculpture, painting, collage, and photography. His work has been featured in publications including New American Paintings, Creative Quarterly, Studio Visit Magazine, and Vogue España. Coniff is co-editor of The Programme, an annual publication presenting conversations with artists and curators. He has completed residencies and given guest lectures in Wassaic, NY; Santa Fe, NM; Berlin, Germany; and at Black Cube, Denver, CO. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in Denver, Marfa, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Montreal, and Berlin, and is included in numerous public, corporate, and private collections. Recently, he was featured in Nth Dimension at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver, curated by Zoe Larkins. Coniff is currently a Foundations and Sculpture Professor at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
