Eva Magill-Oliver is an artist currently living in Georgia. Shecreates delicate, meditative, collages and drawings thatreflect and explore different elements of the natural world.Presently, her work explores the theme of transition afterhaving returned to the United States after spending severalyears in Paris, France.Her main subject matter is drawn from abstractions andpatterns found in nature and organic environments. Evafeels a strong sense of connection between herself and herconstantly evolving and transitioning natural surroundings.Her mediums of choice are pencil, pen and ink, and cut paperon paper. The variance in materials adds a textural interestthat she uses to mimic those found in the environment. Thecollage aspect also adds an element of controlled design as afresh transformation emergeswith every new layer.Her latest collaboration, aline of user-friendly pottery,with Asheville, NC.ceramicist, Laura Cooke,debuted at Mitchell Hill inApril 2017.
