Pudlalik ShaaCape Dorset, NunavutCarverPudlalik Shaa is an Inuit carver from Cape Dorset. He comes from a family of artists - Shaa being the son of noted carver Aqjangajuk [Axangayu] Shaa. His brothers Alariaq Shaa, the late Qiatsuq Shaa and Qavavau Shaa were sculptors as well. Watching his father work inspired Shaa to start carving at the age of 12, carving primarily animal subjects and some transformation pieces.
