Aage Bernhard-Frederiksen was born in Skagen, Denmark, in 1883. He was educated at the school of NV Dorphs, and spent his career as an artist traveling Europe to paint atmospheric impressionistic landscapes. In spring, fall, and winter, he stayed in Paris, Germany and Italy, capturing the snow and mountains.
