Most days you can find Cathy Talbot in her Tupelo, Mississippi backyard studio. In the studio she playfully calls "Empty Nest," she immerses herself in the world of vitreous enameling, the ancient art of firing powdered glass metal. From hand fabricating the metal for jewelry or art objects, to torch or kiln firing the glass, it is all about the technique and bright colors. Cathy also enjoys sharing her art as a guest instructor at the Metal Museum in Memphis and being involved in its community outreach program. Cathy is a member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi, Tennessee Crafts Southwest Chapter, and The Enamellists Society.
