BiographyI am an Arizona native, born in Phoenix and have been creating art since I was a young boy. Producing visual designs and working with my hands have been a natural ability throughout my life. As a student in the late 1960’s through mid 1970’s, I earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree in art from Arizona State University. Ceramics has always been my most passionate art medium. I enjoy hand built techniques, which have given me an opportunity to create unique and solitary pieces. Much of my inspiration is drawn from the rugged shapes and majestic colors of the Arizona deserts, mountains and sky. My thirty year career as a supervisor in electrical construction for new and renovated commercial buildings augmented my interest in design, engineering and architecture . The combinations of nature and industry drive my inspiration for my art pieces.
