Tianova is a contemporary artist and the creator of Strialism, an original artistic direction developed in 2024, distinguished by elongated palette-knife strokes and a rhythmic interplay of color, light, and movement. Born in Kazakhstan, Tianova studied fashion design before earning a Master of Fine Arts. She moved to New York in 1999, where her experience in fashion and painting shaped her sensitivity to color, composition, and form. Music is central to Tianova’s artistic practice. Through synesthesia, she experiences music as color, rhythm, and movement. Painting becomes a way of translating these perceptions into a visual language. In Strialism, figures, light, and atmosphere emerge and dissolve through elongated strokes. From a distance, musicians and spaces become recognizable; viewed closely, they fragment into rhythm, color, and texture. Her intentionally limited palettes heighten the emotional atmosphere and allow movement and light to become more pronounced. Alongside Strialism, Tianova explores Cubism, transforming musicians and instruments into shifting planes of color and geometry. Her lyrical cityscapes explore the relationship between memory, architecture, and atmosphere. Her work has been presented in galleries, exhibitions, and art fairs throughout the United States and is held in private collections nationally and internationally. Tianova lives and works in Savannah, Georgia, where she creates in her Gallery Studio.
