Kathleen Margaret Graham, commonly known as K.M. Graham was born in 1913 in Hamilton, Ontario. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, and was praised and sought after for her abstract impressionist work. Her paintings inspired by nature, and the use of colour to depict motion and range. Becoming a painter at the age of 50, K.M. Graham frequented the Art Gallery of Ontario and in her travels often visited museums, giving her the inspiration to become an artist. Fellow artist Jack Bush also had a hand in encouraging her to pursue art full time. Graham's work is apart of permanent collections at the National Gallery of Canada, the AGO, the McMichael Canadian Art Collection as well as the British Museum. She has been exhibited at the RCA, and collected locally as well as internationally.
