Nicole Laporte is a self-taught artist who grew up in Montreal, Quebec. As a young girl her gift for drawing was part of her everyday life. But it wasn't until 1980 that she took courses and began her journey into oil painting. Her first exhibit was held in 1998 and she has continued exhibiting her work in shows and is represented by fine art galleries. Her paintings convey emotions of Joie de vivre, love and friendship in her nostalgic scenes. The 1920s is a time period and source of inspiration for Nicole Laporte.
