From a young age, April Hale knew she wanted to be an artist, as well as help change the world for the better. Influenced by her environmentalist grandmother, encouraging parents, and a number of art teachers, her work and life have always existed at the intersection of art and nature, making it important to her to use reclaimed steel for her pieces. For over 15 years, she has been using her knowledge and skills to create jewelry inspired by the natural landscape and the animals that call it home.Hale holds a Masters of Fine Art from Montana State University in Bozeman, as well as a Craft Certificate in Metalsmithing from the Appalachian Center for Craft in Tennessee. She absolutely loves creating her jewelry, and when she’s not doing so, you can find her digging in her gardens, riding her horse, Stella, or hiking with her young son, Reuben, and their dog, Cricket.
