My grandfather, Harold Wolcott, was an artist and teacher for many years in Scarsdale, New York and Southport, CT. I had the run of his studio which occupied the third floor of a 19th century barn and was a smorgasbord of oil paint, canvas and all the great stuff with which to make art. I attended Silvermine College of Art in the AFA degree program from 1965 to 1967 after which I moved to Florida to the University of Miami to work on my BA in English and Journalism' I have been in numerous juried shows for over 50 years and continue to make artwork every day. At one time, my medium was oils =, acrylics, and mixed media. Now, I work with a mélange including a laptop computer, digital software programs, an Intuos tablet and stylus which enables drawing and painting digitally, and a 44-inch inkjet printer that sprays pigments, not dyes, that are stabile for 80+ years.
