Vera Pawelzik is a German artist temporarily living in Atlanta, GA. She creates geometric abstract works on paper, panel and canvas. Her practice focuses on the continual reduction of forms and the arrangement of new dynamic compositions. Inspired by Minimalist architecture Constructivism, Concrete Art and Mid-Century Modern Art, Vera strives to create works that evoke a sense of overall balance and harmony through the use of only geometric shapes, line and color. Having traveled back and forth between Germany and the US for the past 12 years, she has learned the importance of minimalism both in her lifestyle and in her artwork. “Minimalism is my way of finding peace in today’s distractions,” says Vera.
