Anthony’s art is powerful, high-energy with bold use of color. He favors oil as his primary medium and produces unique and vibrant authentic portraits, with a focus on contemporary Black artists and musicians. He studied painting at the Hussian College School of Art in Philadelphia and illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Anthony was a featured artist in a private exhibition at LandAir Gallery and exhibited in group shows throughout New York City including Cuchifritos of the Lower East Side. Solo shows include Jadite Gallery and Chashama. He has also exhibited at the DeShong Museum of Art in Chester, PA, the Art Culture Center in Brooklyn, in NYU’s Small Works show, and in an exhibition at the Education and Research Center of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Anthony is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts City Artist Corps Grant. His work is in the collections of private collectors across the US. He is part of the Fountain House Gallery. He is also currently collaborating with creative activist, curator and collector Joni Daidone, and Kevin McNeal, a Jazz Educator, Composer and Musician, on “I Rap with a Paint Brush”, a book paying homage to Black American Composers from Classical to Hip Hop and Beyond. Anthony is originally from Chester, PA, where he grew up in the projects. Both his stepdad and father served in the military, and he lived a nomadic life in military housing throughout his early childhood.
