Judith Berman Born in New York City, Judith has lived in the Bronx, is a longtime resident of Queens, and has made art since the age of seven. Her artistic skill was recognized while she was a Brownie, and as a Girl Scout her creations such as yarn dolls earned merit badges. A self-taught artist who admires Andy Warhol, Peter Max, and Marc Chagall, she loves color, working primarily on canvas and sketch pads. She has utilized acrylic, pastel, markers, and pencil and now works exclusively in acrylic marker in vivid hues to create serene images of animals and flowers as well as abstract designs. Judith communicates and expresses her passion through artmaking, which has been instrumental in breaking barriers and in helping her to ease isolation. A daughter of Holocaust survivors, Judith has lived with trauma and depression. She is a homebound, disabled senior who finds peace and harmony through spreading joy through her art. She finds satisfaction in uploading her art images to t-shirts and totes as a means of sharing her work and creating gifts for loved ones. Artist website: Judyswimz912
