Born in Peru, George arrived in the US at the age of seven. His introduction to art was via the illustrations in Marvel and DC comic books, and soon he was drawing superheroes and villains from Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Doctor Doom. He attended the High School of Art and Design but only recently returned to his roots as a visual artist and began painting figurative works and portraits. George placed third (twice) in the “Oil and Acrylic” category of the Annual International Art Show by Artists with Disabilities, a juried exhibition sponsored by the Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute. He has studied at the Art Students League and Borough of Manhattan Community College and is a year away from attaining a BFA from Fashion Institute of Technology.
