Rene was born in Brooklyn and is a resident of Hell's Kitchen. He was awarded a BA in Fine Arts by Fashion Institute of Technology, where he pursued studies in the Toy Design program. He has been an illustrator and toy designer for Nickelodeon Animation, and for the Mattel and Hasbro toy companies. Rene draws inspiration from animation, film, and comic book art.
