VICKY TOMAYKO is an artist and printmaker who lives and works in Truro, Massachusetts. Her work includes hybrid printmaking and painting. She has an MFA from Western Michigan University and studied printmaking with Michael Mazur in Provincetown. Tomayko currently teaches at Cape Cod Community College, and in the Art Reach Program for high school students at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. In 2025 she co-taught an experimental class exploring the intersection of printmaking and performance at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. Tomayko was awarded a fellowship at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown (FAWC) in 1985, and is the current manager of the print studio at FAWC, where she conducts workshops for fellows and facilitates printmaking projects. It is the artist’s job to bring hope to the world even if it springs from the smallest places -- like the exquisitely colored and delicate lichen in the cemetery, or the bleached whale bones against the purple sky. We need this hope now more than ever.
