We have always loved rock hunting and used to come home from vacation with new rocks every year. When we retired, we began traveling and headed to the outdoors. We stopped in Quartzite because of the Gem and Mineral Show and were in awe of the beauty of jasper and agates. Soon we were members of the Quartzite Roadrunners Gem and Mineral Club and learning how to cut and polish rocks we found. We now have two rock saws, a 6-wheel grinding and polishing machine, two tumblers and a shed full of beautiful rocks that inspire us to create new pieces of jewelry. I've been working to master the art of wiring, and bring new settings for the pieces we find, cut, hone and polish.
