B I O G R A P H Y Georgi Kolarov was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 1981. At a very young age, he discovered that he was drawn to painting and knew he wanted to become an artist. The idea of doing anything else seemed unappealing to him. He saw painting as an intuitive and sensorial process, balancing pictorial elements to reveal the poetry of color and form in the everyday objects around him. Recognizing Georgi’s talent, his parents sent him to the Professional School of Stage Arts in Plovdia when he was still very young. There, he developed his talent further, and after five years of study, the young artist moved to Sofia to explore more avenues for his passion. Eventually, he landed at the Academy of Fine Arts where he is working on his master’s degree in art with a focus on paintings in oil on canvas. Additionally, he specialized in 3-D animation and graphic design. The works he has executed showcase his gradual development in technique, moving from heavy and fark tones similar to those of the old masters to a new style that uses numerous strokes of color lightly applied to the canvas. With an unlimited imagination, a profound understanding of color, and a wonderful use of light combined with accuracy in architectural detail, Georgi has continually delighted the art world with his compositions.
