Kristen grew up in Greenbelt, Maryland. She was always creative as a child and had an interest in art, but it wasn’t until she moved to Florida in 1988 and worked as a picture framer that she started painting. Florida’s sunsets, clouds and water provide endless inspiration for her paintings. Kristen also enjoys painting portraits and figurative works. She has been influenced by figurative artists such as Jeremy Lipking, Suchitra Bhostle and Casey Baugh. Kristen is an award winning member of several local art groups including the Dunedin Fine Art Center, the Creative Artist’s Guild, PAVA and the Tarpon Springs Art Association. Her works have been displayed in local galleries and have been sold to collectors in the U. S., France and China.
