I strive to capture the awe inspiring qualities of the natural world, from majestic peaks down to shimmering tide pools. Nowhere are these qualities more apparent than in the great American West. Working from observation and informed imagination, I create scenes that highlight the scale, power, and structure of my subjects. Though our planet is fragile in many senses, it is more vast in scope and variety than any one individual can imagine. Through my paintings I attempt to share my experience of these earthly landscapes, and honor all of the potential they hold.
