Doug Monson resides in Afton, Wyoming where he owns and operates Western Skies Fine Art Studio. Doug's love for drawing began at a very young age. His hobbies included horseback riding, fishing, hunting and hiking the mountains of Utah. His personal experiences greatly contributed to his uncanny ability to capture the emotions, personalities and detail of his subjects. He spends countless hours observing and photographing the western culture and wildlife therein. Using charcoal and graphite he adds layers and textures to bring to life the landscapes and subjects his collectors love.
