TennesseeTusculum College, B.S.Southwest Tennessee Community College, AASMemphis College of Art Jerry Knight grew up in East Tennessee and New England. While his career focus was in technology, he is a life-long art lover and painter. He started painting about 50 years ago and never found a reason to stop. Largely self-taught, he learned from more experienced friends, tried to imitate better painters, and also studied painting at the Memphis College of Art. Jerry describes his inspiration through this quote: “Have fun painting and try to create a picture that will make people smile.”
