Fran Nagy is a a contemporary mixed media gallery artist. She began her professional art career in 2005 as a ceramist and teaching artist in Birmingham, AL. In 2017, she began to transition into acrylic painting. Since then Fran has developed a unique style, using various painting techniques, real feathers and leaves encapsulated in a final coat of resin. Fran’s current series is titled, "The 1000 Mile Journey." The human figures in her work are depicted from the back as they embark on a metaphorical journey of life. Through her work, Fran strives to convey rich emotions of strength, peace, sorrow and a sense of belonging to something larger than one’s own self.
