Marcos Lucero was born in Oaxaca, Mexico and currently lives in Teotitlan Del Valle, a small community located 40 minutes from the city. His artistic education was at the Fine Arts School of Benito Juarez Autonomous University in Oaxaca, hand in hand with the Rufino Tamayo workshop and various painting and printmaking workshops. Lucero has experimented with various media such as acrylic painting, watercolor, oil, serigraphy and engraving, participating with this technique in different national and international competitions and collective exhibitions. Lucero’s work is full of fantasy and symbolism, having as its reference the multiculturalism that exists in Oaxaca and Mexico, thus developing his own language with a mystical depth beyond the image. His artistry calls us to discover and explore the different aspects of our own spirit through his creations.
