Judyth Katz is a talented and original artist, albeit a bit too modest in accepting one-person exhibitions in Provincetown. She has been making art her entire life, showing professionally in Connecticut, New York, Cape Cod, and elsewhere. Katz studied portraiture with Jakki Kouffman at the Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Connecticut, where she eventually discovered a voice in pastels and acrylics. Her lush and exuberant pastels strike the observer with their sense of freedom, and the expression she achieves in pastel parallels that of Charles Burchfield.
